Troubled comedian Artie Lange has been released from hospital after he allegedly tried to commit suicide by stabbing himself nine times.
Lange, who is a regular on Howard Stern's radio show, was checked into the Jersey City Medical Center in New Jersey over the weekend (02-03Jan10) after his mother reportedly found him wounded at his apartment.
A spokesperson for the star confirmed to RadarOnline.com he has been discharged, but refused to comment on Lange's condition.
Paramedics found Lange with nine "self-inflicted stab wounds", according to police Lieutenant Detective Mark Competello.
Cops have since told the website they are treating the incident as a suicide attempt and no further investigation is planned.
