Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting admits that she had a whirlwind romance with new husband, Ryan Sweeting. The pair had only been dating for three months when they tied the knot on New Year’s Eve, but their short pre-marriage romance doesn’t concern Kaley. She recently opened up to Cosmopolitan magazine about her nuptials, “I admit it happened fast...When we met, I knew he was the one”, claiming that at her wedding she “felt like a rock star and a badass...It was the eighth wonder of the world, the greatest wedding of all time.”

Kaley Cuoco Ryan SweetingWe all know that Kaley Cuoco got married, but who is her huband, Ryan Sweeting?

Kaley’s marriage did come as quite a surprise, especially considering she had been linked to Man of Steel star Henry Cavill not long before she walked down the aisle. Her new man was something of a mystery, and to be honest, he still sort of is. The pair have had quite a high profile romance, but we have to confess, we still know fairly little about the hubby of The Big Bang Theory star.  So who is Ryan Sweeting, Kaley Cuoco’s new husband?

Well, Ryan hasn’t just popped up out of nowhere to marry a celebrity. He’s a pretty successful guy in his own right, paying his way as a professional tennis player. After playing for the Florida Gators men’s tennis team whilst at university in Florida, he played at the US Open in 2006, defeating Guillermo Coria, before losing to Olivier Rochus.

Sweeting turned pro in 2007, scoring no less than four doubles titles in 2007. He went on to win the Rimouski Challenger in Canada in 2008, which was his first singles title. In 2008 he was ranked 216th in the ATP World Rankings. In January 2009 he managed to make the semfinals in the Noumea Challenger, before winning the Dallas Challenger singles title a month later. In April 2011 he beat Japanese tennis player Kei Nishikori to win the US Men’s Clay Court Championships.

Kaley CuocoKaley Cuoco is Now Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting

So that's Ryan Sweeting's career in a nutshell.  While he may not be up there with Nadal and Djokovic just yet, the Bahamian-born tennis player does show a lot of potential and he's still just 26 years old, so he's got a lot of time. Perhaps he’ll do a Paul Bettany and come out of nowhere to bag a Grand Slam in the future.

Although if he doesn’t he shouldn’t worry too much, he’s 6 foot 5 and looks like a Calvin Klein model, so we have a sneaking suspicion that Kaley didn’t marry him for his skills on the court.
