Finally, a round of good news from Tracy Morgan’s camp. The comedian, who was injured in a pile-up on the New Jersey Turnpike last month, has finally recovered to the point of leaving the rehab center.  According to E! News, he will stay on an intensive outpatient rehabilitation program for some time. A rep for the former 30 Rock star explained the situation: “Tracy has been released from the rehabilitation center and will continue his recovery efforts at home with an aggressive outpatient program. He asked me to pass along his sincerest gratitude to everyone who has helped him get to this point.  He would also appreciate some privacy during this crucial point in his recovery.”

The comedian is steadily recovering and will continue his rehabilitation at home.

The news comes two days after the announcement that Morgan had launched a lawsuit against Wal-Mart, because the truck, which caused the accident belonged to the company. The civil suit, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court of New Jersey, alleges that “Wal-Mart was careless and negligent in the ownership and operation of its motor vehicle.” The lawsuit alleges that it was this negligence, which resulted in the death of James McNair, who went by the stage name Jimmy Mack, as well as severe injuries for several other comedians, including Morgan.

The accident occurred on June 7, when Morgan was riding in a tour limo bus with his entourage and a Wal-Mart semi-truck crashed into the vehicle, triggering a pile-up. The event occupied headlines across the world for several weeks and the Wal-Mart driver, Kevin Roper, plead not guilty on charges of vehicular assault and homicide last month.
