Last weekend's Emmy Awards saw a host of beautifully dressed television stars go home with all manner of awards but, unfortunately for comedian Tina Fey, the word on everybody's lips was "nip-slip."

Tina Fey Tracy Wigfield
Tina Fey & Tracy Wigfield Celebrated Emmys Success.

As she headed to the stage to collect her joint award for comedy writing with Tracy Wigfield, her blue gown loosened revealing a sudden flash of nipple. The internet exploded into giggles and retweeted photos of the actress with blurring or 'Censored' strips over her boob.

Rather than hide away in shame, Fey parodied her own blunder in an advert for the return of Saturday Night Live. SNL cast member Kenan"there will be no more wardrobe malfunctions like at the Emmys. He then turned to Tina, asking: "Unless you want to do one?" "No that's alright," Tina replied as her black blazer jacket fell open to reveal she wasn't wearing anything underneath. "It's not going to happen again. I've got it under control," she joked.

Tina's Nip-Slip Was One Of The Most Talked About Incidents Of The Night.

It what has been perceived as possibly another parody of the now-infamous nip-slip, a poster was released to promote the Saturday night SNL premiere and Fey's guest hosting slot. The image shows Tina done up to the nines in homage to Charlie's Angels' Farrah Fawcett in her iconic red swimsuit pose. The image became one of the most popular posters of all time after the sultry shot very clearly showed Fawcett's nipples.

Fey fans all over the world have taken to Twitter and comment boards to express their disappointment that Tina didn't completely follow suit where the swimsuit photo was concerned but we're sure Fey probably wants the world to stop talking about her boobs now.

Tina Fey The Late Show
Fey's Return To SNL Was A Triumphant One.

Tina's slot as guest host was the first of the new season and marked a return to SNL after two years for the former SNL cast member. The NBC series' 39th season invited guests Arcade Fire and Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul; the latter of whom appeared as his character Jesse Pinkman defending Obamacare. "I had this friend and he got sick. Like, cancer sick. But because there wasn't Obamacare, he couldn't afford the treatments," Paul said, referencing Bryan Cranston's character Walter White. "So he was like, backed into a corner."

This Was The Farrah Fawcett Show Fey Imitated.

The Hollywood Reporter declared that Paul "steals show" whilst Variety claimed that Fey's Girls parody was the "best sketch of the night."

So far so good! Next week, Miley Cyrus will host.
