Tina Fey Will Never Host 'Late-Night' Like Other 'SNL' Alum: "I don't think I'd be good at it"
The 43 year-old comedienne thinks she is not cut out to be the host of a talk-show: "I feel like I'd be too shy to talk to people every single day all day."
Unlike many of her former 'Saturday Night Live' co-stars, Tina Fey isn't planning on becoming a talk-show host anytime soon.
The 43 year-old previously hosted 'The Weekend Update' on SNL with Jimmy Fallon, who is now hosting 'The Tonight Show', but that is where Tina draws the line.
While talking to E!News earlier this week, the 'Mean Girls' actress revealed she doesn't think she is talented enough to attempt what Fallon and Seth Meyers have made work.
"I don't know if I would be good at it. The thing that makes Jimmy so good at it is he really, really loves talking to people," she said.
Adding, "You can't walk down the street with him, he'll talk to everyone. I'm sorta shy, so I feel like I'd be too shy to talk to people every single day all day."
"And I think Seth is gonna do great with it, too, because he's just an amazing joke writer and also very smart," Tina continued, referring to Meyers who now hosts 'Late Night'.
"He could have a politician on, and in that Jon Stewart way, he could really talk to them about what's going on," Fey added. "I think it's a good pairing. Maybe I could take the 2-3 a.m. slot on NBC?"
It isn't a surprise that when asked who she thought would make a good host/hostess, Tina said her good friend Amy Poehler, whom she will partner up with to host next year's Golden Globes for a third time.
Although Fey doesn't think she is talented enough for taking the helm of a talk-show, her emcee skills for an award ceremony have always been impeccable.
