The 21 year-old singer's behind-the-scenes TV special only garnered an average of 2 million viewers, placing among the lowest rated shows of Sunday evening (July 6th).
Not many people seem to be interested in what Miley Cyrus does while on tour.
Even though the 21 year-old singer's 'Bangerz Tour' has garnered a lot of attention since starting in February, she couldn't grab their attention once more for her very first TV special.
Cyrus's two-hour documentary, titled 'Miley Cyrus: Bangerz Tour,' aired on Sunday night (July 6th) on NBC to dismal viewing figures.
According to the Nielsen ratings, on average only 2 million people tuned in to watch a behind-the-scenes look into Cyrus's life on the road, which is a rating of 0.7 among 18 to 49 year-olds, via The Hollywood Reporter.
This placed it among the lowest rated shows of the evening, falling behind the likes of CBS' 'Big Brother' and ABC's 'Raising Star.'
NBC's broadcast included exclusive backstage footage from Cyrus's European leg of her controversial 'Bangerz Tour,' focusing on shows in Barcelona, Spain, and Lisbon.
Fans also got to see an insight into the 'Wrecking Ball' singer's thought process about performing in front of thousands of people from all over the world.
"I think when people watch the show, my true fans, it's just a bunch of kids, like, ready to party. They're not sitting down, they're not there trying to look cool in front of their friends," she said during the telecast.

Adding, "I see the faces and I feel like they're learning. It feels safe in there. And there's not many places where you're around 20,000 people and feel safe. I think my fans feel safe in that room with me. I feel like they think that I'm some sort of a leader, and I'm giving them the push to go forward."

The documentary also included a close look at Cyrus's tribute to her late dog, Floyd, by performing 'Adore You.' Speaking of Floyd, the 'We Can't Stop' singer recently honored the deceased canine by getting a tattoo on her ribcage of a badge with a drawing of the late Alaskan Klee Kai's face on it.
