Mireille Enos - "The Killing" Isn't Dead Just Yet: AMC Series Revived For Fourth Season On Netflix

The Killing had a shaky three-season run, but now Netflix is reviving the police drama for two more final (really this time) seasons. The series, focusing on a team of two Seattle homicide detectives, ran for two seasons on AMC, until it was cancelled due to low ratings. It was then brought back for another season, which was thought to be the last. But then again, with this series you can never know.

The beautiful Mireille Enos will return for one final season as detective Sarah Linden.

According to

Just%20in:%20USA Today, Netflix has announced the production of six brand new episodes, which will be made available to the service’s 40 million subscribers worldwide. The Killing starred Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman, as detectives Sarah Linden and Stephen Holder, respectively, in the series, which is based on the Danish drama, Forbrydelsen. The first two seasons centered around the murder of Rosy Larson, while an entirely separate storyline, focusing on the crime spree of a serial killer, was created for the third one.

She will be joined by her equally beautiful co-star Joel Kinnaman, of course.

The first three seasons of the crime drama have also been made available on Netflix, however the company is yet to announce when the new episodes will go live. According to the company’s vice president Cindy Holland, the six final episodes will be created in order to give fans of the series a chance to say goodbye to the characters. "The rich, serialized storytelling in The Killing thrives on Netflix, and we believe that it is only fitting to give Sarah Linden and Stephen Holder a proper send-off," Netflix vice president Cindy Holland said in a statement, via USA Today.
