As fans of Arnold Schwarzeneggerwill probably know, The Governator will reprise his iconic role in next year’s Terminator: Genesis. Well, here’s an unexpected change – the movie isn’t called Terminator: Genesis already. It’s not a drastic change, but apparently the film has been re-titled to Terminator: Genesys.

Filming just wrapped on Schwarzenegger's most recent (re-titled) project, Terminator: Genesys.

The bizarre piece of news was announced via Schwarzenegger’s Instagram (if you’re not following him already, you really should). Arnie (or whoever is managing his social media, more likely) posted a picture of himself, sitting in a seat with Terminator: Genesys in the back.

“Hasta la vista, baby. I want to thank the cast and crew of @TerminatorGenisys for a fantastic shoot. It was challenging, it was fun, and it was rewarding.”

Well, it's good Arnie had fun, because noone else seems to be putting much stock in this (largely unnecessary) sequel. So we now know that the movie has wrapped and that Paramount’s marketing team has changed the title. Is this anything significant, maybe a hint to the plot? More likely, it’s an attempt on the studio’s part to seem “cool” and “down with the kids”, but we’ll probably find out come trailer time. The movie itself is set for an August 6th, 2015 release.
