Taylor Swift's new song 'Sweeter Than Fiction' has finally been released on iTunes after it was used on UK movie One Chance, which will hit cinemas this week. The 23 year-old Grammy-winning singer co-wrote the track with fun.'s guitarist Jack Antonoff, AKA Lena Dunham's boyfriend.

Naturally, 'Sweeter Than Fiction' is about how good it is to be in love with some rather catchy classic Swift vocal hooks. The fast paced, guitar pop track sounds like it would be well-placed in a coming-of-age high school movie and the film will in fact be used during the credits of One Chance; the movie about Britain's Got Talent winner Paul Potts and his journey from shop worker to star.

The distinctly 80s track sees the musical arrangement shift from new wave to pure pop as Taylor takes on the persona of someone who believed in someone else's talent before anyone else did. "There you stand, 10 feet tall/ I will say, 'I knew it all along'/ Your eyes are wider than distance/ This life is sweeter than fiction," she sings.

Taylor has spent most of her year so far on her mammoth 'Red' tour to promote last year's best-selling album of the same name but the productive pop star has used her time on the road to write some new material with her next album in mind.

However, the mega-selling performer revealed via Billboard that her subsequent albums could take her farther away from bubblegum pop than ever before. "I think the goal for the next album is to continue to change, and never change in the same way twice," she said, adding "How do I write these figurative diary entries in ways that I've never written them before and to a sonic backdrop that I've never explored before?"

One Chance will be released in cinemas from the 25th October.
