Taylor Swift is no stranger to singing about her relationships, actually it’s kind of her thing. So you can’t be too mad at those who are listening to her latest song, ‘Out of the Woods’ and treating it like a romantic puzzle that needs to be solved immediately. So what’s the answer? Well, it seems in ‘Out of the Woods’ the clues all point in one direction.

Taylor SwiftSo who's Taylor singing about this time?

Yes the long haired Lothario of British pop, Harry Styles, is thought to be the man Taylor is singing about in ‘Out of the Woods’ and actually the evidence is quite convincing.

In the song’s lyrics (which were co-written by Lena Dunham's boyfriend Jack Antonoff), Taylor sings of a relationship which took off in December and was ‘ built to fall apart/ Then fall back together’.

Whilst we can’t confirm any Jenga like qualities in the Swift/Styles romance, we do know that the couple were making headlines in December 2012.

Another lyric speaks of ‘your necklace hanging round my neck’ and ‘The night we couldn't quite forget/ When we decided/ To move the furniture so we could dance/ Two paper airplanes flying, flying.’

Coincidentally, E! tells us that ‘back in 2012, Harry and Taylor were each seen wearing the same distinctive silver paper airplane necklace’. This really is all starting to add up.

But the song’s most intriguing lyrics concern a snowmobile accident, where Taylor sings ‘remember when you hit the brakes too soon/ Twenty stitches in a hospital room.'

The 24 year old told Rolling Stone recently that she and an anonymous male friend ended up in hospital after the incident and added that sometimes “looking someone in the eye and saying, 'Please don't tell anyone about this, works even better than an NDA.”

Harry StylesWho knows if Harry really is the man Taylor is singing about

Of course we’ll probably never find out who, if anyone, Taylor is singing about. But for what it’s worth here's what the lady herself had to say about the song, “this was a relationship where I was kind of, living day to day, wondering where it was going, if it was going to go anywhere, if it was going to end the next day,” Taylor said. “It was a relationship where you, kind of, never feel like you’re standing on solid ground.”

But really, wether Taylor is singing about Harry or anyone else it doesn't matter. What we can confirm is, we really can't wait to listen to 1989 when it hit shelves on October 27th.
