Sienna Miller is heading to Broadway for the second time.
Despite speculation that she would be extending her run as Sally Bowles in Broadway musical Cabaret, Emma Stone has decided to depart the successful production and will be replaced by the British actress Sienna Miller from February 17.
Emma Stone will be replaced by Sienna Miller after a strong run in Cabaret on Broadway
Miller is currently starring in Clint Eastwood's tense drama American Sniper and previously appeared on Broadway in 2009, in After Miss Julie. She will take over from Stone until March 24 at New York's Studio 54.
Based in 1930s Germany, Cabaret tells the story of novelist Cliff Bradshaw who falls in love with a singer from the seedy Kit Kat Klub. The show debuted on Broadway in 1966 and spawned an Oscar-winning movie adaptation in 1972, starring Liza Minnelli.

Miller joins a swathe of top actresses to have played Bowles, notably Natasha Richardson, Jill Haworth and Dame Judi Dench.
The original revival, co-directed by Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall, was first shown on Broadway in 1998 and ran for almost six years. It won four Tony Awards including best musical revival, lead actor for Alan Cumming, lead actress for Natasha Richardson and featured actor for Ron Rifkin.

The most recent run saw Michelle Williams played Bowles, before she was replaced by Stone, who received rave reviews for her performances.
"...the red-headed beauty has found a good way to put her own personal stamp on the role - she acts the hell out of it," said Marilyn Stasio in her review of the show for Variety.
