Selena Gomez has been on tour for the majority of 2013, and decided she just wants to spend 2014 by herself.
Selena Gomez has decided to cancel her 2014 Australian tour. The cancellation might be sudden, but it didn't come from an illness or scheduling conflict. Gomez just decided that she needs some time alone.

"My fans are so important to me and I would never want to disappoint them," the singer told People in a statement. "But it has become clear to me and those close to me that after many years of putting my work first, I need to spend some time on myself in order to be the best person I can be."
A friend of Gomez's reportedly told the magazine the cancellation of the tour doesn't mean there is anything to be worried about.
"Selena is fine, she's in a great space," the source said. "She's looking forward to spending the holidays with her family."
Gomez wrapped up her 'Stars Dance Tour' on November 26, after playing more than 50 dates in the United States and Europe.
"She's been on the road for six months and she's just ready to be normal and at home with her family," the source told People. "She's been working nonstop since she was 15 and wants to take a minute to herself."

The announcement came just a day after her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber told a radio show that he still considers Gomez the love of his life. But it's not clear if that has anything to do with this new decision, and it's been pretty obvious she moved on from the relationship a long time ago.
So far, the singer has no other big plans for 2014. But knowing the Disney star, she will likely be filling her schedule soon.
