The Under the Skin star rarely discusses her personal life, however a source said the couple "are engaged and very happy." Apparently the engagement happened last month and Dauriac presented Johansson with a vintage Art Deco diamond ring. The 28-year-old actress was sporting a ring when she appeared at the Venice Film Festival earlier this week. Whether or not this transpires to be the engagement ring entirely depends on whether the couple choose to confirm their engagement.
Johansson appeared at the Venice Film Festival in order to promote her new film, Under the Skin. The science fiction movie tells the story of an alien, in human form, as she travels through Scotland. Based on the 2000 novel of the same name by Michael Faber, the film also features Paul Brannigan, Krystof Hadek and Jessica Mance.

Should the engagement be confirmed, this will be Johansson's second marriage. She married Ryan Reynolds in 2008 but they separated in 2011. Her relationship with Dauriac, a French journalist, appears to have begun last October when they were photographed together by paparazzi. They officially stepped out into the limelight in November 2012 when they appeared together at the New York premiere of Hitchcock.
Johansson dicussed her relationship, vaguely, in an interview with Elle last December. She described her relationship as "nice" but gave no indication it was becoming serious. However, ten months has passed since Johansson claimed marriage was "not really important to me" and that she wasn't "having kids anytime soon." So perhaps things have changed for the Oscar-nominated actress.
