Scarlett Johansson has added her name to the list of those wanting a Black Widow spin-off movie. Considering the actress has starred as Natasha Romanoff and her alter ego in Iron Man 2, The Avengers and most recently Captain America: The Winter Soldier - we'd consider that a pretty strong recommendation.

President Kevin Feige recently revealed that Marvel Studios is developing early ideas for a Black Widow spinoff and Johansson backed those plans at the UK premiere of the Captain America sequel on Thursday (March 20, 2014).

"If you want to see a Black Widow spin-off movie, then I want to see it. We'll see. We will put the request in to Marvel tomorrow," she told journalists.

"We learn more about her past and learn more about where she came from and how she became in that film" said Feige of the potential for a movie, "The notion of exploring that even further in her own film would be great, and we have some development work with that."

The Winter Soldier sees Romanoff and Captain America, played again by Chris Evans, battling a mysterious Soviet-era Russian agent. Also starring Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie and Robert Redford, the film has been described by some critics as the best Marvel movie of all time.

"...the best action film out of the entire Marvel movie universe so far, bar none," said Drew McWeeney of HitFix.com.
