The Rolling Stones Are Back On It (Their World Tour, That Is)
The Stones are back on their world tour, which will run through November.
After the turmoil and a short break following the death of L’Wren Scott, The Rolling Stones are back on tour once again. Their current worldwide run was cut short back in March, after the 49-year-old fashion designer and Mick Jagger’s girlfriend was found hanged in her New York apartment. Her death was attributed to suicide.
The Stones are back and powering through the remainder of their tour.
The iconic band resumed the world tour on Monday with a two-hour show at Oslo’s Telenor Arena. Jagger made no mention of Scott during the show, but the band did give it their all, playing a high-energy gig for a crowd of 23,000.
The Stones have been in Oslo for the past week , rehearsing for their upcoming date at Filmparken, a film studio complex in a quiet suburb. According to the Mirror, there seems to have been no errant partying during their current visit to Norway either. The Stones have been spotted out only once, dining at Oslo’s Theatercaféen on Sunday. Jagger also posted his first Instagram shot after a long break from Norway. He accompanied the pensive photo with the caption: “Had a beautiful walk in Frogner Park, Oslo.
"Looking forward to the first show! Mick.”
Following their Scandinavian dates, the band are set to take their tour to Lisbon, Zurich, Tel-Aviv and the Netherlands.
