Robin Thicke Talks Public Apologies To Estranged Wife Paula Patton
When discussing his recent public outcries to his estranged wife, the 37 year-old singer admits, "I'm just kinda flying by the seat of my pants on this one."
Robin Thicke has tarnished his reputation in recent months, which is due to his public mission to win back Paula Patton.
Thicke and Patton, who have been married for eight years, announced their split this past February.
At the time, the couple released a statement that read, "We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time."
However, the 'Blurred Lines' singer hasn't accepted that their romance has come to an end, and in the past four months he has tried to salvage their broken relationship in many different ways, with none of them working.
One reason why this may be is that Thicke hasn't even seen Patton even once in the past four months.
"I actually have no idea what I'm doing," the 37 year-old singer admitted during an appearance Wednesday (July 2nd) on Good Morning America. "I'm just kinda flying by the seat of my pants on this one."
Thicke's choice to take his personal life public hasn't been received in a positive way by many, and when asked why he did this, the star couldn't think of an answer.
"I just wanted to make something artistic out of a very difficult period," he admitted. "When you lose the love of your life, you don't have much to hide anymore."
One of the 'Give It 2 U' singer's attempts to woo Patton back was naming his newly released album 'Paula,' and the last song 'Forever Love' has garnered lots of attention because in it he takes responsibility for their split.
"Well, the album-I didn't want it to be all depressing, because I didn't want her to listen to it and make her sad only, you know," he explained of the last track. "So I wanted there to be moments where she had hope and positivity that her and I can both still have a great life. No matter what happens, we'll be great friends and great parents."
Thicke also takes this opportunity to give his fans some wise advice. "If you got a good woman, take care of her guys," he said.
