"I do them myself, Rihanna reveals, referring to the immaculate, feline sweep of eyeliner above her distinctive eyes. When Plum Sykes, the interviewer, asks whether Rihanna could do hers, the star gets to work right there and then: "Jen. Get me my eyeliner from MAC," she commands her personal assistant, who zips straight to the MAC store around the corner.
The singer was also very open about her hair styling, demonstrating what was her own hair and what was a weave. She conducted the interview with long, wavy black hair one one side with the other shaved. "It's not my hair, but the girl who donated it, she's the bomb," the 'S&M' star revealed candidly. "Black girls never let anyone see this," she said, showing off where the weave attached to her head.
Rihanna Revealed Herself To Be An Advocate Of Painfully High Heels.
"I have two main hair people I work with. They're always with me. I'm like, 'I'm bored! I wanna change my hair!' That's the good thing about a weave. You can do whatever with it."
Controversially, Rihanna is an advocate for high heels - the bigger the better - regardless of any pain. "It's not about pain. It's about the commitment. I say to myself, 'I want to look like this,' and worry about the pain later. I've had nights I had to tiptoe home and the balls of my feet wouldn't even allow me to stand," she said, whilst wearing a pair of "four-inch pointy-heeled Saint Laurent black suede booties with leather ties wrapped around her ankles."
Rihanna rocked up to the interview, which was held in across a series of designer stores, in a Jen Kao denim suit with a long shirt, a black polo-neck bodysuit, with plenty of characteristically ostentatious gold jewellery adorning her body. You might presume that Rihanna, one of the top earning music artists in the world, would pick expensive bling, but this is apparently not the case.
The Pop Star Was Open About Her Style Choices, Including Her Hair And Make-Up.
"My jewelry's all fake-from Claire's. Or I get it from my mom's boutique in Barbados. Her shop's called FAB-U-LUS," the singer revealed, with much ensuing excitement on social media. Vogue's Sykes did add on a rather snide note that she was surprised to learn that the millionaires wears "throwaway jewelry" but for us it was a major tidbit of styling info to learn that we can pick up RiRi's hip hop look for a few quid in pretty much any shopping centre.
The 'Only Girl' performer also shared the looks that she's loving at the moment, which include big jackets and brothel creeper shoes. "More than anything, I like a jacket," she exclaimed. "You can do anything with a great jacket, the bigger the better. You can have any silhouette underneath. It gives you an attitude. It makes a gown look cool."

"I love baggy things. I wear men's clothes, men's shoes, oxfords, creepers," the star disclosed. She said that Alexander Wang, Tom Ford and Adam Selman are amongst her favourite designers these days.
It's quite the revelation that the Barbadian tomboy whose mother used to buy her the same clothes as her brother for simplicity is now one of the most looked-to fashion icons on the planet. Vogue's shoot showed off her incredible versatility; her ability to transform from feminine to fierce with a single well-placed fashion piece.
