Rapper Puff Daddy has announced he is releasing a new album and yes we did get his name right, as he also reverted back to his old moniker. The new album enitited ‘MMM’ will be his first release in four years, since 2010’s ‘Last Train To Paris’.

Puff Daddy Now back to Puff Daddy it's the former P.Diddy or Diddy, Sean Combs

While a new record from the former Diddy is big news, a lot of the attention is falling on his name change back to Puff Daddy. On Monday he revealed the change by unveiling a teaser video for his upcoming single ‘Big Homie’. Which had the Puff Daddy name in the opening credits. He later tweeted ‘For the record, I did not change my name. I always have been and always will be PUFF DADDY! :) Be cool Man lol #MMM #BigHomie RT!!!!.’ This came from his account which is called '@iamdiddy', where he uses the name ‘Diddy’, confused? He later added to confusion tweeting ‘#DIDDYORDADDY ???’. Yes that is the question.

Sean Combs, as he was born, last used the Puff Daddy name on the 1999 album ‘Forever’. He then became known as P.Diddy for 2001’s 'The Saga Continues... ' album from P.Diddy and the Bad Boy Family. In 2006 he then dropped the P to become Diddy for ‘Press Play’ and then ‘‘Last Train To Paris’ four years later. The change from Puff Daddy to P.Diddy came after Combs was found not guilty on charges of possession of a weapon in connection with a 1999 shooting at a New York night club. The rapper took the new name, which had been suggested by his late friend the Notorious B.I.G. and announced the change to MTV saying, "no more Puff Daddy - the first week in June, we're going to have a name-change ceremony, I just want something fresh. I'm rocking with P Diddy just now.”

There's no word on wether another name change ceremony will happen or what the would entail, but Puff Daddy will reveal his full video for ‘Big Homie’ on Monday via his twitter. The track also features fellow rapper Rick Ross. ‘MMM’, his fifth studio album, is due out later this year. The rapper can also be seen making a cameo in the 'Muppets Most Wanted' which was released in theatres last week.
