Professor Green Held By Police For Perverting Justice
The rapper was arrested again after he claimed to have been mugged in November, only to get arrested for drink driving
Professor Green found himself in a spot of trouble with police once again earlier this week, following an arrested for perverting justice after he filed a police complaint stating that he had been mugged outside his South London home earlier this month. The singer/rapper was arrested under his real name, Stephen Manderson, on Monday, 25 November, and his prior arrest is believed to be at the center of his latest incarceration.
Prof. Green has yet to address either arrests from this month
Green was held for attempting to pervert justice after he had initially reported that he had been mugged earlier this month, saying that his Rolex had been stolen, only for police to arrive at his South London home and find his wrecked Mercedes outside the property. He was held on suspicion of drunk driving overnight, with an inquiry into the incident taking place following his release.
On Monday, he was arrested once again, with his involvement in the crash and the possible-hoax robbery call said to be at the root of his second arrest in November.
“A 29-year-old was arrested for attempting to pervert the course of justice after reporting for bail," a police spokesperson told The Mirror later in the week. “He is bailed to a date in January pending further inquires.”
Prof and wife Millie Mackintosh tied the knot in September
His second arrest was only made apparent much later into the week, with Prof. Green going on to enjoy his 30th birthday only days after he was arrested. The Londoner and his wife Millie Mackintosh, the star of Made in Chelsea who he married in September this year, enjoyed drinks and a meal at a pub in London with about 25 other friends, offering no indication that he was in police custody earlier in the week.
Prof. Green was due to begin his 'Are You Getting Enough' tour in December, but had to push it back to May next year, stating recording commitments as the reason for the delay. The rapper has made no comment about his most recent arrest yet.
