Prince William Is Headed Back University To Take Agricultural Course At Cambridge
The Duke of Cambridge will head back to school for a ten-week long course in agricultural management at the University of Cambridge.
Prince William is headed back to school as he plans to take a course in agriculture at the University of Cambridge.
The air to the British throne will begin the New Year by taking a ten-week course in agricultural management organized by the Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership at the University of Cambridge, Kensington Palace announced (Dec 30th).
The duration of the course will begin in January and finish in mid-March.
The 31 year-old will attend seminars, lectures and meetings to help grasp "an understanding of contemporary issues affecting agricultural business and rural communities in the United Kingdom."
This past September (2013) the Prince announced his retirement from his position with the Royal Air Force after seven-and-a-half years of full time military service.
He will now have up to 18-20 hours of studies per week, which will include essay writing, and will have to attend field trips as well as all the scheduled classes.
This will prepare Prince Harry for when he inherits The Duchy of Cornwall's large portfolio of land, property and investments when Charles becomes King.
The Duke graduated from the University of St Andrews in 2005 with a 2:1 degree in geography, and it was here where he met his future wife Kate Middleton.
He and Kate, now the Duchess of Cambridge, have been busy touring the globe for official Royal duties and charity events, with Kensington Palace also announcing;
"The Duke would continue to support the work of The Queen and the Royal Family through a programme of official engagements, both at home and overseas, with The Duchess of Cambridge."
Next year it is likely the pair's son Prince George will accompany them on their tours, they are scheduled to visit Australia and New Zealand in April (2014).
Kate and William are expected to take Prince George with them on their next Royal Duties tour
