Paul Wesley And Torrey DeVitto Announce Divorce After Just Two Years
'Vampire Diaries' stars have separated after a two year marriage.
Paul Wesley and Torrey DeVitto have announced that they are filing for a divorce after being married for just two years.
The 'Vampire Diaries' stars have ended their relationship after six years together, being married for two, but insist on remaining firm friends despite their romantic breakdown.
Paul's rep told People that they 'have decided to amicably split. They will continue to remain good friends'. The pair met on the set of 2008 comedy horror film 'Killer Movie' which also starred Kaley Cuoco and Leighton Meester, and seemed to be placed in a dream situation when they began working together on 'Vampire Diaries'.
Paul previously said at the Mystic Falls Convention in Paris last year, 'It's fantastic because otherwise we'd be 2000 miles away, Los Angeles and Georgia, so it's very nice to be in the same geographical location.'
Unfortunately though, it looks like spending all that time together hasn't had the most positive effect and they are now going through divorce proceedings despite it being only two years since they wed at a private ceremony in New York in April 2011.
Let's hope that their friendship works out though as they continue to be around each other on set as 'Vampire Diaries' is set to return with series five in the coming months.
