Paul McCartney has set about reassuring his fans that he feels absolutely fine following a nasty virus that largely ruled him out of the Japan leg of his world tour and a show in South Korea, not to mention a handful of American dates.

“Everybody has been asking me how I feel, I feel great, thank you very much for asking,” he says in the video. “Hey listen, this is just a note to say that the dates that were postponed, the concerts and the shows, have been rescheduled for September and October so come and see us then, we’ll come and see you. Feeling great, rocking and rolling, yeah!"

The clip ends with the former Beatle playing air guitar and the dubbed sound of, well, a guitar overlaying it. The main announcement was that his cancelled shows have been rescheduled after McCartney skipped his first seven American dates on medical advice.

A message on his website said: “Doctors have ordered Paul complete rest and he has been doing all he can to get better. Paul has only ever had to reschedule a handful of shows in his entire career and so he is upset about this situation.”

Part of the rescheduled dates include a performance at The Greensboro Coliseum announced for the first time ever on October 30 as part of his “Out There” Tour. “This major event will be one of the largest events in the 55-year history of the Greensboro Coliseum complex,” the coliseum stated in a news release yesterday.

Tickets will go on sale to the public Monday, June 30. Pre sales will begin on Thursday, June 26.
