And We Sit Here, Waiting For NSYNC To Reform

This Sunday sees the MTV Video Music Awards hit town, and rumours have abounded that this particular ceremony will see the godfathers of Boybandem return: will NSYNC get back together on Sunday!? Lance Bass – the one who enjoyed those spiky blond locks – hasn’t done much to pour water over the guesswork.

"Justin Timberlake is getting the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award this Sunday at the awards, so of course people are automatically going to think we're going to be there performing, but this is exactly how it happened and I knew these rumors were going to fly," he said. "Joey [Fatone], Chris [Kirkpatrick] and myself went to go see Justin's last show with Jay-Z at the stadium last Friday... I think that's what started the rumor that there's going to be this big reunion. (ABC)

But what really got fans going is when he was asked about it on his Sirus Radio Show, Dirty Pop, the 34-year-old said: "You never know!" Formed in Orlando, Florida in 1995, N Sync went on to take the world by storm, selling over 50 million albums over their career. Live shows at the World Series, Super Bowl, the Olympic games and multiple performances with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Michael Jackson and Celine Dion certainly place them among the pantheon of musical royalty.

Justin TimberlakeDoes Justin Timerlake even want an NSYNC reunion?

One of their stars has certainly broken free: Justin Timberlake. The singer, actor and writer has taken things to a new level, arguably besting his efforts while part of the famous quintet. "It's amazing to see the reaction out there on Twitter and social media [and] how many people are supporting 'NSYNC. It's so nice to see because when we ended things [over] 10 years ago, there was no social media, there was no Twitter,"Bass added of the reaction to their possible reunion said. "It's so cute to see how many people are supporting [us], and 'NSYNC was even trending."

We’d keep an eye on the awards on Sunday as a sneaky reunion gig might well be on the cards!
