The 'America's Got Talent' also spoke about how his children, twins Moroccan and Monroe, are coping in the midst of the pair's separation.
Ever since Nick Cannon allegedly said "There is trouble in paradise," when referring to his 6-year marriage with Mariah Carey in August, speculation has surrounded the nature of the pairs' split, but the 'America's Got Talent' host has finally set the record straight.
Cannon and Carey split last month after six years of marriage
Cannon stopped by The Meredith Vieira Show on Friday (Oct 24th), and addressed the frequent "untrue" reports that include Carey allegedly slapping him with a "confidentially agreement," the couple have been living apart, and whether the songstress' recent lyric alteration suggests her husband was unfaithful to her.

"You know what I heard the other day?" he began. "I heard that there's a family dispute over our eight dogs. It's the Jack Russell puppy dispute."
But in truth, the 34 year-old TV personality told the host Vieira, "It's truly just staying focused on family and what's right and getting through these times and just doing what's right for the kids," when referring to their 3-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe.
Cannon also commented on the effect his and Carey's split has had on the children. "They're just happy. They love mommy, they love daddy," he said. "We've always been people who are kinda on the go, coming and going, so their life hasn't changed one bit. We spend holidays together, we do everything that we're supposed to do together."

The Split was also allegedly down to Cannon's hectic work schedule, this left Carey feeling like her husband "abandoned" her and the children.
