Divorce papers were filed at the end of July by Neil in California and a hearing is set for the middle of December, according to Rolling Stone

Pegi has been a fan favourite as she has inspired many of Neil's songs including 'Such A Woman', 'Unknown Legend' and 'Once An Angel'. Their meeting in a California dinner was immortalised by Neil in 'Unknown Legend' in which he sings "I used to order just to watch her float across the floor." She has also acted as his backing singer on numerous occasions, beginning in the early 1990s.

Pegi Young
Pegi inspired many of Neil's most famous songs.

Pegi went on to enjoy a successful solo career from 2007 onwards and has used her talent and connections to aid charitable causes including setting up The Bridge School. The Bridge School is a charitable organisation which aims to help children with severe physical impairments. She and Neal were inspired to create the organisation by their son Ben, who suffers from cerebral palsy. The couple also have another child together, Amber.

They have worked together to raise money for The Bridge School and performed last October at a charity benefit. It remains to be seen whether or not the Neal and Pegi will continue to perform together at the annual benefit. They were supposed to be appearing together at another charity event, Farm Aid in North Carolina in September. However, Pegi's name has recently disappeared from the line-up.
