If you want any more evidence of how far away Miley Cyrus has gone from her dreamy-eyed Hannah Montana days, look no further than her recent interview with the New York Times during which the controversial pop star disses former Disney co-star and friend Joe Jonas, of the Jonas Brothers fame.

Joe Jonas Accused Miley Cyrus & Demi Lovato Of Introducing Him To Weed.

In an interview with New York magazine, 24 year-old Jonas claimed that every time he smoked weed, he was in the company of fellow stars Cyrus and Demi Lovato. "They kept saying, 'Try it! Try it!' so I gave it a shot," he said in the interview. Jonas' comments haven't gone unnoticed and Cyrus has made sure to hit back to clear her name.

Whilst smoking marijuana is something Miley has admitted to doing fairly regularly, she denies any allegation that she introduced Joe to the drug or egged him on to smoke it. When asked by the NY Times how she felt about being accused of introducing the Jonas brother to pot, Miley was defensive but pragmatic. "If you want to smoke weed, you're going to smoke weed," said Miley. "There's nothing that two little girls are going to get you to do that you don't want to do [...] We were so young that it's actually like, "How did you get peer pressured by me?" she reasoned.

Though she didn't deny whether she, Joe and Demi had ever got high together, Miley stuck the knife into her old friend's accusations, saying "I thought maybe he was saying that like it was going to make him look badass." Miley moved on to quote the late former Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, saying "There's a special place in hell for people that glamorize drugs."

The 21 year-old explained that her tendency to swear and talk about drugs is why she doesn't feel suited to being interviewed by magazines aimed at younger teens like "Seventeen or Teen Vogue or whatever" right now. "I never want to be that person that's, like, talking to 16- and 17-year-olds and being like, "Smoke weed." I've got a little sister. I don't want her to smoke weed, and it's not because I think weed is bad, but." she trailed off.

"I don't know how to not talk the way I talk. I would rather have everything I do be 100 percent honest. I just want to be who I am," Miley summarised.
