Finally, Mickey Rooney Will Be Buried At The Hollywood Forever Cemetery
Rooney passed away aged 93 from natural causes
The argument over Mickey Rooney’s body has finally been resolved, with Rooney’s lawyer explaining to The New York Daily News that the late star will be buried at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

“We worked out a full agreement. There should be no declaration of war over the body,” Rooney’s lawyer, Vivian Thoreen, explained. “Mickey will be buried at Hollywood Forever with a small family reception that will be private,” she said.
Cecil B. DeMille, Jayne Mansfield and Rudolph Valentino are all buried at the famous cemetery. Most recently, Mick Jagger held a memorial for his late fashion designer girlfriend L’Wren Scott.
“We’re very happy about the decision,” daughter Kimmy Rooney Kelca – who made a surprise appearance outside the courtroom alongside her two sisters - explained. “We’re going to honor him at the service and say some wonderful things.”
Rooney’s estranged ex-wife Jan Rooney didn’t make the hearing, which saw the judge approve the settlement. But she did give her blessing in a separate statement.
“Mickey had his mother’s remains moved to Pierce Brothers and had consistently indicated that he wanted to be buried there alongside his mother, myself and my boys,” she wrote to the court. “Despite my strong desires to be buried beside my husband, I feel that I owe it to Mickey’s fans to allow Mickey to be buried alongside other members of Hollywood royalty.”
The agreement also bars one of Rooney's stepsons, Christopher Aber, from attending the funeral, which is set to be a small family service. The actor had lost much of his fortune in recent years to what he described as elder abuse and financial mismanagement at the hands of Aber and his wife, who is also barred from the funeral.
