Megan Fox has admitted she is not "extraordinary ambitious" and, now a mother of two, only appears in movies to ensure her children's future is financially secure. The 28-year-old was recently interviewed in a parenting magazine and emphasised how her children are her main priority.

Megan Fox discussed parenting and her two children in a recent interview.

Fox married former Beverly Hills 90210 actor Brian Austin Green in 2010. The couple have two children together, 2-year-old Noah and 4-month-old Bodhi. Fox is also stepmother to 12-year-old Kassius, Green's son from his previous marriage to actress Vanessa Marcil Giovinazzo.

In an interview with Parents, Fox explained why she has recently appeared in very few films. The last time she was on screen was in 2012 when she appeared in This Is 40 and on an episode of Wedding Band. The Transformers star stated that she only does one film a year in order to financially provide for her family and ensure her children's future. She said "I have to make one movie a year because I have to invest in their future and I have to be able to pay their way through college and be able to provide for them."

Fox further stipulated the conditions in which she sought out work, namely the location and the amount of time she would need to spend on set. Fox and 40-year-old Green live in L.A. and Fox mainly appears in movies which are filmed in the city. In the interview, Fox said "I'm looking for movies that will shoot in Los Angeles, for projects where I'm part of an ensemble so I can shoot in and out in 10-20 days."

Fox explained how her decisions were motivated by her need to be with her family. She said "It's all about trying to spend as little time away from my kids as possible." Fox further discussed how her priorities had understandably changed since being a mother and that "It's so hard to be a working mom especially when your heart is not in your work, when your heart is with your family."
