After winning his first Oscar, Matthew Mcconaughey is just about ready to focus on family life again. And what better way to do it than to have another baby, right? McConaughey and wife Camila Alves. Sort of. Maybe.

McConaughey and Alves, apparently in a baby-making mood again.

After winning the Best Actor award for Dallas Buyers Club on Sunday, McConaughey and Alves made a brief appearance at the afterparty. Why so brief?

"We won't stay at the afterparty long,” he told The Sun. “I want to go home and make another baby!"

Why thank you for that, Mr. McConaughey, that was information we all needed to know. Presumably it was all a bit of banter, possibly said in the heat of the moment and/or a couple glasses of champagne. He did beat actors like Christian Bale, Bruce Dern, Leonardo DiCaprio and Chiwetel Ejifor to the Best Actor honor, that has to be a big confidence boost too. Then again, McConaughey and Alves do seem to love children. So much so that they’ve had three so far - Levi, 5, Vida, 4, and Livingston, 14 months. The three kids are old enough now to take an interest in their father’s work, McConaughey says.

It's good to know he balances work with his personal life.

"They understand that papa goes to work, that there's a difference between reality and movies, and that he can be in more than one place at a time," McConaughey, 44, said in the press room after his big victory (quote via E! News). "I took Levi to set on Lincoln Lawyer and let him watch a scene and then let him watch it on the monitor, and for him it was a magic trick—you can be in more than one place at one time."

Sounds like Academy Award winner Matthew McConaughey is just about ready to step down for a while and make room for family man Matthew McConaughey.
