'Suicide Squad,' slated for a release in late 2016, follows a group of super villains who are teamed up and forced to covertly for the government in exchange for pardoned prison sentences. American filmmaker David Ayers will direct the forthcoming production.

This group of anti-heroes, also known as Task Force X, was created by Robert Kanigher and Ross Andru and first appeared in Brave and the Bold No. 25. Characters such as Deadshot, King Shark and Captain Boomerang are also part of the line-up.

Warner Bros., seem to be eyeing huge Hollywood stars for this movie as it is part of a 12-film slate of super hero films coming from the film studio, which will obviously attempt to be as successful as Marvel Studios' cinematic universe.
