Luke Bryan Tour Postponed, Four Crew Members Injured After Stage Collapse

Luke Bryan's next tour date stop has had to be postponed after a terrifying accident left four members of the stage crew injured. The country singer's That's My Kind of Night tour only began in Columbus, Ohio, on Thursday (16th Jan.) but has already had to be postponed after part of the stage collapsed when being dismantled at Columbus' Schottenstein Center last night.

The four crew members, identified as Kyle W. Davis, 47, Leonard G. Devrijer, 49, Andrew J. Gammon, 26, and Steven J. Meyers, 41, are lucky to be alive after part of Bryan's stage was damaged early Friday morning while it was being dismantled. All four were taken to a nearby hospital after firefighters and rescue workers were called to the scene, reports Columbus TV station, Nbc4i.com.

The news report states that about an hour after Bryan's concert had ended, the stage crew were dismantling the raised stage area when a forklift hit the stage, causing part of it to collapse. What caused the forklift to swerve out of control is not yet known.

Bryan, who won the most recent Academy of Country Music entertainer of the year award, was set to continue his 74-date tour in Lexington, Kentucky, but has postponed that concert until the 21st February whilst investigations are underway. According to his website, all March shows are sold out.

Kentucky's Rupp Arena officials said in a news release that previously purchased tickets for the concert will be honored for the new date and explained the postponement was due to Bryan's team making repairs so that the tour can continue, via Kentucky.com.

Thankfully, the collapse didn't occur when the show was in full swing: let's hope this isn't an omen for the rest of the tour!
