Luke Bryan Is Not Ashamed Of His Georgia Country Roots
Luke Bryan, the current gold-boy of the Nashville music scene, is not ashamed of his "catfish", "dirt road and tailgate" Georgia roots.
Luke Bryan is currently filming the music video for his new single 'That's My Kind of Night'. The song is taken from his Crash My Party album which has already produced a hit single of the same name, released in April of this year.

Bryan has captured the heart of the Nashville country music scene and will definitely be a constant feature from here on, especially as his appeal lies with both male and female listeners. In an interview with USA Today, Bryan's manager Kerri Edwards said the first time she saw him: "I saw guys fist-pumping and high-fiving and singing every word as much as the girls did. That truly got my attention. I remember saying to myself, this guy reminds me of Kenny Chesney. That's what I felt in that room that time. That's still happening."
Bryan was brought up in Georgia and has nothing against the Southern, country way of life, so often criticised and bemoaned in popular media. Yes there are pick-up trucks and catfish but Bryan is not ashamed of adding such details in his lyrics; if anything, Bryan considers the catfish a cultural icon, claiming "catfish unites country people."
He also promised in the same interview that he will continue writing songs about typical features of country living, including "dirt roads and tailgates", because "that's what I see my people liking".
The other thing Bryan's fans love about him is his genuine honesty, Mike Dungan the chairman and CEO of Universal Music Nashville said, speaking to USA Today, "what you see onstage is exactly who he is. His music rings true for anybody who has ever taken five seconds to lean in and listen to him."
Bryan's Crash My Party album is due to be released on 13 August.
