Just two days after their breakup was made official by People, Liam Hemsworth is well and truly moving on from Miley Cyrus, by letting her keep the engagement ring first of all. The ring, a Neil Lane diamond valued at $100,000, managed to spark a lot of controversy in recent months with its appearance or absence in photos of Cyrus. Is she wearing the ring today? If she isn’t, does that mean they broke up? These questions were on everyone’s mind. Well, ok, maybe not everyone.

Liam Hemsworth, Rush Premiere
Liam is flying solo these days. Sort of.

Now that the engagement is officially off, it looks like Hemsworth – like any man of his word - is letting his former ladylove keep the sparkler, according to a report by RadarOnline.

"When Liam bought that ring, he truly believed he would be spending the rest of his life with her. Now he realizes they are both just too young to be ready for such a big commitment,” a source, close to the Hunger Games star told the website.

Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth, Paranoia Premiere
The pair hadn't been seen together since the Paranoia premiere earlier this year.

It looks like not only has Hemsworth let go of Cyrus, but he might be making the moves on a brand new girl already. According to the New York Daily News, this week Hemsworth was already photographed with a new lady, Mexican model/actress Eiza Gonzalez, and their compromising position left little doubt about the pair’s relationship. The picture was snapped on Tuesday, just one day after the People report about Miley and Liam’s breakup was announced. Ouch. That must have been unpleasant for the 'Wrecking Ball' singer. Fortunately Miley has plenty of things to keep her occupied these days – you know, singles to release, albums to promote, wrecking balls to grind on, that sort of thing.
