Did Gaffe Reveal Leonardo DiCaprio As Winner of Best Actor Oscar?
Leonardo DiCaprio for best actor at the Oscars? Could happen.
Wait, did Leonardo DiCaprio just win the Oscar for Best Actor? Twitter went into overdrive on Tuesday when a screen-grab from a CNN report about preparation for the Oscars began doing the rounds.

On it, an Oscar statuette plaque was shown, with the words "Leonardo DiCaprio, Best Performance By An Actor in a Leading Role, The Wolf of Wall Street' engraved on it. So had CNN accidentally given away the identity of the winner?
Well, in a word, no. The Oscar voting isn't even complete yet so there literally isn't one person on the planet who knows the winner - apart from everyone who thinks it's Matthew McConaghey for Dallas Buyers Club. In fact, the guys down at the Oscars make a plaque for every eventuality. Each nominee gets their name on a shiny gold band with the eventual losers having their plaques recycled.
So that's that then. We'll all have to wait until March 2 to see whether Leonardo DiCaprio wins the Oscar for Best Actor. McConaughey appears to be the most likely to win the statuette - he's garnered the most critical acclaim for an individual performance this year - though DiCaprio is by no means out of the race. The pair will also have to beat 12 Years a Slave actor Chiwetel Ejiofor, Bruce Dern for Nebraska and Christian Bale for his role in American Hustle.
Elsewhere, 12 Years is fancied to win Best Picture and Cate Blanchett is pretty much nailed on for Best Actress, for her career best performance in Woody Allen's Blue Jasmine.
