Since it was revealed earlier this month that American director Paul Feig will be helming a third 'Ghostbusters' movie with an all-female cast, there has been a lot of talk amongst the funniest females in Hollywood on who will feature in the flick.

Lena Dunham
Will Dunham star in 'Ghostbusters 3?'

Lena Dunham, who co-created and stars in HBO's 'Girls,' is believed by many to be a frontrunner for a starring role in the project, and during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Monday (Oct 20th), she was finally asked about if the speculation was true.

"I have to say, since I've heard that rumor I think every lady in town who fancies herself a jokester wants in," she explained to Ellen DeGeneres, but quickly turned her attention to Melissa McCarthy who was also appearing on the talk show.

"I heard you're in Melissa," Dunham said to her fellow actress, but McCarthy quickly replied, "I'm not in. I'm not in!"

Although there have been many names attached to the third instalment, from Emma Stone and Kristen Wiig to Gillian Anderson, there has been no confirmed casting announcements as of yet.

In the meantime, Ellen took this opportunity to ask Lena about her frequent sex scenes in 'Girls' that always end up with her being nearly fully naked. But the 28 year-old actress doesn't seem to be too fazed by this.

"It's not something that happens to everybody in their life. It's not like death and taxes. It only happens to a select few," she said. "Ya know, it's so weird. I feel as though for some reason that's just not my particular zone of terror...I feel totally cool being naked."
