Lea Michele's Rachel Berry Will Return To Lead 'Glee' In Final Season
Lea Michele's Rachel Berry is set to lead the Glee club at McKinley High in the sixth and final season of 'Glee'.
Lea Michele's character Rachel Berry will return to Lima after failing to break into acting.
Rachel is forced to return to Ohio after failing to make it as a television actress. Whilst she is deciding what her next step will be, she discovers Sue (Jane Lynch) has banished the club from McKinley High and makes it her mission to reinstate it. Rachel then takes over the reins of the club, according to EW.
As for Mr Shue, played by Matthew Morrison, he'll be taking on a very different job but we're not sure what yet! Shue isn't the only one with a surprising new job, as E! reports, Blaine (Darren Criss) and Sam (Chord Overstreet) will also be in new roles in Ohio.
Chris Colfer will return for the sixth and final season of Glee.
The 13 episode final season will premiere mid season. In addition to those previously mentioned, a large number of cast members will be returning for the sixth and final season including: Chris Colfer, Dot-Marie Jones, Kevin McHale and Amber Riley. Although a number of the regular cast have not been named, such as Naya Rivera, this does not mean they will not be making an appearance in the final season. Rivera has simply been downgraded from a regular to a guest role.
Max Adler, who previously starred on Glee as Dave Karofsky a homophobic bully who was secretly struggling with his own sexuality, will reprise his role. But Adler's presence will certainly throw a spanner in the works for those hoping Blaine and Kurt will live happily ever after, as Karofsky is Blaine's love interest.
Matthew Morrison's Mr Shue will have a career change in the final season.
