Lamar Odom Apparently "Happy" His Marriage With Khloe Kardashian Is Over

After months of speculation, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom finally brought their strenuous marriage to an end when Khloe filed for divorce from Lamar earlier this week. The divorce looks as though it will be a relatively hassle-free affair, with a prenup agreement already in place and no children to worry about, it is also something that Lamar had apparently been anticipating and looking forward to for some time.

According to TMZ, with Entertainmentwise later following up the story, Lamar was expecting the divorce to happen at any time, with the eventual divorce proceedings coming as no surprise to the former Los Angeles Clipper star. What's more, since the divorce papers were filed by Kardashian, Lamar has apparently been telling friends how relieved he is that his ties with the reality star have been cut, saying that the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star brings out his worse side.

This darker side that Lamar is alluding to is probably a reference to his various legal mishaps over the past few months, mishaps that landed the Odom-Kardashian union in turmoil in the first place. These include various reports of drug use, including alleged binges on crack cocaine, as well as various reports of infidelity on Lamar's behalf.

Lamar has since said that he is determined to get his basketball career back on track as he looks to regain his fitness and sharpness on the court. Meanwhile, Khloe is looking to have Odom removed from her name and will look to continue doing whatever it is she does. In her divorce papers, Khloe asked for no spousal support from Lamar and has asked the judge to decline any requests that Lamar might make for her support.
