Live Nation executive Arthur Fogel says rumors of poor ticket sales for Lady GaGa's Summerfest headlining show are "ridiculous", and that Mother Monster is all set for a triumphant summer show at the Marcus Amphitheater in Milwaukee.

"The run with Gaga over the last two tours has been incredibly successful, and this one is shaping up no differently,"  Fogel, chairman of the company's global touring division, producers of Gaga's forthcoming artRave: The ARTPOP Ball tour, told Billboard's Ray Waddell.

Reports last week had suggested Gaga's show was "flopping", with Akira Hasan at the Examiner.com alleging on-air staff at WRNW-FM told listeners that Gaga's festival show would still go on "despite poor ticket sales."

"It was thought that the show would be canceled due to lack of interest," Hasan wrote.

The radio show's producer director Dave Adams said on Sunday he would look into the claims, but said: "I am almost certain this discussion did not happen on Radio Now. None of our on-air staff have that type of information. And even if they did, I can't see why they would use it on air."

Fogel told Billboard that Lady Gaga's Summerfest show "has sold 14,264 tickets," adding "...the gross is $961,000, and it's at the end of June. I just don't know how this (expletive) gets any traction without people doing their homework."

Capacity at the Marcus Ampitheater is around 23,000 fans.

Summerfest 2014 - which runs from June 25-29 and July 1-6 - promises 11 days, 11 stages and over 800 acts. Bruno Mars, Brad Paisley, Outkast, Zac Brown Band, The Dave Matthews Band, Motley Crue and Paramore/Fall Out Boy join Lady Gaga in the headliner slots.

Lady Gaga has already been raising eyebrows at festivals this year, performing with a "vomit artist" at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas last week. Artist Millie Brown appeared on-stage during Gaga's performance, stuck two fingers down her throat and regurgitated green paint over the singer.

The performance faced a furious backlash, including from Demi Lovato who said Brown and Gaga were "glamourising eating disorders."
