Lady GaGa's newest studio album 'ARTPOP' has debuted at No.1 on the US Billboard 200 album chart.

In its first week of release her 3rd studio set sold 258,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

This is the second debut chart topper of her career with 2011's 'Born This Way' being the first.

'ARTPOP' didn't sell anywhere near the amount 'Born This Way' did (1.1million), but the high rise in sales was due to a temporary 99 cent sale deal by Amazon MP.

Although, Gaga's the latest studio set is the 3rd largest sales week for a woman in 2013, following Katy Perry's 'Roar', selling 286,000 copies and Miley Cyrus' "Bangerz", which sold 270,000.

All debuts reached No.1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

'ARTPOP' narrowly beat Eminem's hit maker 'Marshall Mathers LP2' which sold 210,000 copies in its second week of release to fall in the 2nd position. Rounding off the top 3 is the debuting new 'Now 48' collection, selling 142,000 copies.

In its third week of release 'Duck Dynasty's' The Robertson's Christmas album 'Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas' falls to 4th selling 66,000 copies, while Katy Perry's 'Prism' follows behind with 46,000 copies.

Holding at No.6 is another Christmas album, Kelly Clarkson's 'Wrapped in Red', which sold 42,000 copies. No.7 is a new entry and is from British rock legends The Beatles, their 'On Air: Live at the BBC Volume 2,' set sold 37,000.

Jhené Aiko's 'Sail Out' EP lands at No. 8 with 34,000 AND Drake's hit maker 'Nothing Was The Same' still holds a top ten spot finishing 9th this week with 33,000. Lorde closes out the top 10 with 'Pure Heroine,' falling to No. 10 with 32,000.

Lady Gaga's 'ARTPOP' has also received chart success overseas as it debuted No.1 in the UK album charts, making it her 3rd UK No.1 album.
