Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick: A Relationship History
Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick could be engaged, but they've had a colourful romaintic history so far.
Once again rumors have surfaced that Kourtney Kardashian is set to finally wed boyfriend Scott Disick, coincidently it’s happened at the same time that sister Kim has reportedly set a date with boyfriend Kanye West. Whether or not this couple will beat Kimye to the altar remains to be seen, but they sure have had an interesting relationship.
Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick might finally be engaged
They've been together for seven years and have two children together, but Kourntey Kardashian and Scott Disick haven't always had the smoothest of relationships. 34 year old Kourtney and 30-year old Scott first began dating back in 2006, just before the Kardashian clan landed their E! reality series. While sister Kim was the series vocal point it wasn’t long before Kourtney and Scott’s relationship would become a major subplot of the show. Season 2 of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ began with Kourtney confronting Scott after she thought he was cheating on her. This wouldn't be the last time that Scott would come up against allegations of infidelity, but for some reason the pair always seemed to work things out. Scott’s love of partying also seemed to cause a rift in the couple’s relationship, Kim’s 29th birthday in Vegas being a particular example which played out in front of the ‘Keeping Up’ cameras.
After splitting in 2009, Kourtney found out she was pregnant whilst filming ‘Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami’. The news that the couple were about to become parents was enough to bring them back together and they reconciled shortly after the news. Their first child Mason was born in December and Kourtney seemed to immediately take to motherhood, once again causing problems between the couple. Problems then came to a head on their reality show when Scott’s anger issues caused another temporary split, but after Scott sought professional help they re-untied once again. Scott would later have his proposal to Kourtney rejected when he popped the question on Kourtney and Khloe Take New York. Kourtney just didn't seem to be ready for marriage yet and didn't want the possibility of her children going through a painful divorce like she and her siblings had.
The couple were again surprised in 2011 when Kourtney found out she was expecting for the second time. The couple’s second child, Penelope was born in July 2012. Becoming parents again seemed to work well for getting their relationship back on track, although problems would arise again when a male model claimed that he was the father of Mason and not Disick. This was eventually proven to be untrue after Scott underwent a paternity test to prove he was in fact Mason’s father.
Tragedy then struck Scott last year when his mother Bonnie died in October, then the blow was further worsened when his father passed away three months later in January. The couple’s relationship seems to have further solidified after the death of Scott’s parents. It seems the recent tragic loss may have made them think more seriously about their future together and make their relationship official causing Kourtney to reportedly finally accept Scott’s proposal.
2014 could bring two Kardashian weddings, if Kourtney and Scott tie the knot
If the couple are finally engaged they might want to hold off on any wedding plans until Kim and Kanye’s wedding is over in May. Though that wedding would be a hard one to upstage. But wether the couple do or they don’t decided to get married they’re still one of our favourite TV pairings. Hopefully it wont be long until they have something happy to celebrate after what has been a tough few months for the reality TV stars.
