Iconic Rockers KISS To Perform At Dodgers Stadium For NHL Stadium Series
KISS are back in a big way this year, starting with a gig at Stadium Series in LA.
KISS fans rarely get treated to news this good these days – the 70s heavy metal band will perform at the NHL game at Dodger Stadium on Jan. 25. On Thursday, the National Hockey League announced that KISS have been booked to perform during the pre-game festivities and first intermission of the Stadium Series game between the Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks.
After being out of the spotlight for a while, KISS are back with a vengeance.
"Los Angeles is the premier hub for sports and entertainment in this country and we are honored to be part of an event that fuses both by rocking the first-ever outdoor NHL game in LA," said Gene Simmons in the NHL announcement. "Fans can expect a spectacle at Dodger Stadium, similar to the one we will be creating at the Honda Center this season with our new Arena Football team, LA KISS."
Gene Simmons teased some more exciting appearances to come in 2014.
It sounds like KISS fans have a lot to look forward to in 2014. The NHL gig is part of the band’s string of performances, celebrating the 40th anniversary from the release of their first album. This year will also see KISS inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The LA Kings game will be broadcast live at 6:30 p.m. PT / 9:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN in the U.S. and on CBC and RDS2 in Canada. Even if you're not a huge hockey fan, the show sounds like one not to be missed.
Sometime during their 40th anniversary year, KISS will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
