Kevin Spacey Gives Paxman An F-Bomb to Defuse on BBC 2's Newsnight

Kevn Spacey’s liberal use of the English language was there for all to see and hear on Wednesday’s (June 4) Newsnight. Host, Jeremy Paxman, did his best to warn the audience, but the House of Cards actor has clearly reached that point in his career.

Kevin SpaceyKevin Spacey presumerably knows flat-caps and converses aren't cool and doesn't care

"Be warned, though. He likes the odd Anglo-Saxonism," forewarned Paxman, who has recently decided to hang up his clipboard and leave Newsnight after 25 years at the helm. And when the conversation drifted towards the British capital, Spacey let fly.

"I mean I'm never going to leave (for good). It's not like, 'Oh, I'm going to get on a plane and f**k off'. I will always be a part of this country and I will always have a place in London. It's a huge part of my life," he explained.

Spacey has become renown for his waspish demeanour, an unfair surmise typified and exacerbated by his role as Frank Underwood in House of Cards. But Spacey is really just a passionate and supremely talented man, breaking out unprovoked impressions at the request of no one, just because he can. I mean, watch the interview.

The 53-year-old also gleaned attention recently when he lambasted a theatregoer whom had neglected to turn their phone off during a performance of Clarence Darrow, in which Spacey plays the titular star. “If you don’t answer that, I will!” he blasted, remaining in character as the infamously straight-talking civil lawyer.
