Although Kendall Jenner has been a star on the reality TV show 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' for many years, the 19 year-old is currently establishing a very successful modelling career, but her journey hasn't been as easy as people may think.

Jenner admits modelling and being a celebrity are "two different worlds"

Last week Jenner was announced as the new face of Estée Lauder after a very busy year of gracing the runways at the New York, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks, but when she was profiled in The New York Times, the reality TV star opened up about struggling to balance being a celebrity and trying to become a serious model.

"It's definitely two different worlds," she stated. "I feel like Hannah Montana. But it's fun."

Jane Hertzmark Hudis, the global brand president of Estée Lauder, also spoke with the newspaper and explained why Jenner is the perfect representative of the cosmetic company.

"I think what's so exciting about her is that she has this social media influence along with a fashion credibility in a distinct way that speaks to millennials," she said. "There is really no one else like her out there."

Jenner was confirmed as the new face of Estée Lauder in a campaign video of her speaking about the cosmetic giant.

"I just want to be the best me I can be," she said in the video. "So having the power that social media does, I think just seeing how many people care about you and seeing how many people, like, want to watch what you're doing, it just makes you really want to do the best you can do."
