Like most Hollywood stars, Katherine Heigl is faced with her fair share of criticism, and this isn't helped by her reputation of being hard to work with behind the scenes, which has come from her colleagues within the industry.

Heigl addressed rumours that she is "rude" behidn the scenes

In the most recent case, the 35 year-old actress was publically attacked by 'Grey's Anatomy' creator Shonda Rhimes when she was talking about working on the set of 'Scandal,' saying, "There are no Heigls in this situation. .I don't put up with bulls--t or nasty people. I don't have time for it."

While taking part in a Facebook Q&A when promoting the new drama 'State of Affairs,' a fan asked Heigl to address the ongoing "rumours that you're very rude."

"Yeah I've heard those too..honestly I don't think I am...nothing makes me more uncomfortable than confrontation or hurting someone's feelings and I would never, ever, actively do so on purpose," Heigl replied. "Of course just like any human being I've made mistakes and unwittingly or carelessly spoken or acted but I always try to make any wrong right."

She continued, "That doesn't mean I won't stand up for myself by drawing boundaries and asking to be treated kindly and respectfully but I don't do that with any rude or unkind intentions just with the same strength and honestly I think every one of us is entitled to."

Hopefully this will not translate onscreen when 'State of Affairs' airs on NBC later this month, in which audiences will see Heigl play a highly-ranked CIA agent whose personal life is spiralling out of control.
