Kanye West has revealed his next studio album, which will be released in summer 2014, will only contain eight tracks.
Hip-hop artist Kanye West revealed he wants to release his next studio album in the summer of 2014.
However, the follow up to 'Yeezus' may only contain eight songs.
On Wednesday night (Dec 3rd) during a talk with architect Jacques Herzog at the Moore Building in Miami's Design District, Kanye spoke about his next studio set.
"I think my next album is going to be eight songs," West said (via Rolling Stone).
"It's just reducing down the amount of information that you need."
Adding, "People say a design is the point where you can't take anything else away. [Yeezus] was very, very designed. I took a departure from radio and popular music in order to get this seat here. If I hadn't made Yeezus, I wouldn't be sitting here with this cool font at Basel right here."
It seems West's studio sets are getting shorter and shorter, 'Yeezus' has been his shortest to date with just 10 songs and a running time of 40 minutes, which differs from the usual 12-13 songs that West usually settles on.
The 'Stronger' rapper's longest set is his debut album College Dropout' which contained 21 tracks.
Kanye's next album is already in the works, the 36 year-old revealed in November to Philadelphia's Power 99 Radio, "I haven't named my next album but I have started on it."
Adding, "I write down philosophies all the time, so I'll just have some thoughts and I just constantly, every time I think of it, I write it. I'm just collecting. I'm just constantly working."
He will also reunite with producers Q-Tip and Rick Ruben.
