West says he is a "better human" because of Kim Kardashian

West, who shares 19-month-old daughter North West with his wife Kim Kardashian, recently opened up about how becoming a family man has helped him be a “better human.”

"I've definitely learned how to compromise more," the controversial star recently told Ellen DeGeneres about being married to the 34-year-old reality TV star. "And I've learned how to shut up more. And yeah, I think I'm a better human being because of her and because of my daughter [North]."

However, West still has big ambitions for his work in the music and fashion business, and he also wants to be "brave for what I want to do for humanity, but also to be more protective of myself for my family, too."

The Grammy winner even spoke about seeing comparisons between himself and his young daughter, especially when it comes to his infamous short temper.

“I think I was going through my version of my terrible twos," he admitted of his erratic behaviour in previous years. "My daughter, she wants to express herself, and she just doesn't have the words for it. And, for me, there were so many things I wanted to do with film and clothing, and I just didn't have the words or the resources."

But some of the fashion designer’s controversial antics have turned out to be positive experiences. "The definition of crazy is trying to do the same thing and expecting a different result," he noted. "So I tried something different over the past couple of years and I actually got some really good results from it too."
