Kanye West knows how to interview well. We know this because every sentence of his now-infamous chat with BBC’s Zane Lowe has been turned into its own news story. And considering it’s all going on in Kanye West world right now, we thought we’d give you a quick roundup.

First of all, Kanye is insisting the paparazzo who’s suing him won’t be getting a penny, as he says everything he did was in self defence. The rapper "suddenly attacked, punching [the plaintiff] and attempting to wrestle the camera from" his hands," the suit alleges, but Kanye’s defence says it was Ramos who "willfully and wrongfully caused [West] to reasonably believe his safety was in danger," the filing states. What the rapper really wants to be focussing on is design. He’s frustrated that no one takes him seriously as a fashion designer, and wants that to change. "I want to do product, I am a product person," said West. "Not just clothing but water bottle design, architecture...I make music but I shouldn't be limited to once place of creativity," he told Zane Lowe before bemoaning his lack of kudos in that realm.

And it’s with that interview that we continue. Remember that lawsuit? Well Kanye’s got some philosophical musings on the subject. "Paparazzi is necessary, not even a necessary evil, it just needs to be legalised, meaning at a certain point there's cut-off switches,” he said.

For Kanye West, the world will always represent a battle of some kind. And whether he’s calling himself the biggest rockstar on the planet, pushing paps to the ground or trying to conjure up the next Guggenheim, he’s always fun to have around.
