Yeezus reportedly has "20 finished songs”, according to co-writer Malik Yusef.
Kanye West’s co-writer Malik Yusef has revealed the rapper’s new album is close to completion, saying he has "20 finished songs" for the record. The album will be the follow up to 2013’s platinum selling Yeezus, which Yusef also worked on.
Kanye is working on his seventh album
Speaking to Rolling Stone Yusef, who collaborated with West on the Grammy Award-winning single 'All Of The Lights’ described the album as “different.” Adding, “It's like a pair of Timberlands, like how Timberlands are not quite leather and not quite suede. It's not the smooth, slick Chicago music sound we have right now and it's not the ruggedness of just 'hip-hop hip-hop hip-hop.”

Yusef then added that the pair had been “all around the world recording." With 20 songs finished so far Malik told fans that "your favourite title may not even make it on the album,” without giving away which titles were being looked at.
The last time the pair worked together, on 2013’s Yeezus, they frequently clashed, with Yusef revealing, ”we fought over Yeezus every day. There was no friendly disagreements. It was definitely a war.” However he did assure that these recent sessions at been a lot less argumentative.
Back in July Kanye had said he wanted his seventh studio album to come out by September. When asked about a possible release date, the rapper told GQ Magazine, "I go back and forth. Like, should it be September or should it be October? Should it be November? But then I'm like, I have to work on Adidas and be with my child."
