Of all the celebrities we had on our wish list for the 2015 Comedy Central Roast we must admit that Justin Bieber was pretty high, after all he has given us wealth of material. Well the time has finally come for Bieber to get the roasting he’s seemingly been working towards his whole career, as Comedy Central has just announced the singer as their next target.

Justin BieberJustin Bieber will be the subject of the next Comedy Central Roast

Comedy Central announced Tuesday that the pop star will be the subject of this year’s roast, which will tape in Los Angeles. “Justin has been asking us for a few years to roast him, and we just kept telling him to go create more source material first. We’re thrilled he listened,” said Kent Alterman, President, Content Development & Original Programming for Comedy Central in a statement.

But it seems Bieber is already in the roasting spirit, writing on his own twitter, “For years I have wanted Comedy Central to roast me. They said only if I provided them w/ more material so for a year now I have worked hard. Finally after all that hard work for my 21st bday it's happening. Thanks @RyanSeacrest & @ComedyCentral for the announcement. Let's do it :)”

The list of celebs who will roasting Bieber is yet to be announced, but whoever the roasters are they will at least have no shortage of material to work from. In the past few years the singer has made headlines for everything from his love life to his laundry list of legal problems.

Of course most recently there was the Calvin Klein advert photoshopping controversy, which was hilarious lampooned by Kate McKinnon on NBC’s ‘Saturday Night Live’. After the sketch, Bieber responded on twitter simply writing, "@nbcSNL well played. Lol”.

Let’s hope Justin’s sense of humour is still in tact come the roast, which Ryan Seacrest tweeted would be happening in March.

But by throwing himself at the mercy of the roasters, Bieber follows in the footsteps of stars such as Charlie Sheen, Joan Rivers, Roseanne Barr, Donald Trump, David Hasselhoff and last year’s roastee James Franco. Best pal Seth Rogen did the honours for Franco in 2014, when over 3.1million viewers tuned in to watch The Interview star take an epic roasting.
