Justin Bieber Sleeps Soundly Despite Assault Charges & Deportation Threat
Justin Bieber is facing legal action in, at least, two countries but that's not interrupting his beauty sleep. His father, Jeremy, in the midst of his son's legal problems tweeted a picture of Justin sleeping soundly in his Toronto home.
Justin Bieber may be facing numerous legal difficulties but it doesn't appear to be affecting his sleep. After months of escalating poor behaviour, it seems Justin's father, Jeremy, couldn't be more pleased to have his son home "safe and sound." Jeremy posted the picture on Twitter which shows his two sons, Justin and 4-year-old Jaxon sleeping peacefully side by side.
Since Bieber's arrest in Miami on January 23rd, he's rarely been far from the headlines with media sources reporting he has visited Panama in the meantime; others suggesting he could be deported from the US; and that, in his spare time, he's been scrapping with limousine drivers.
Bieber returned home to Toronto, Canada in order to address charges resulting from an alleged altercation with a limousine driver. The incident occurred in the Canadian city in December 2013 when Bieber and one of his entourage allegedly assaulted the driver who immediately called the police. A police statement, as the BBC reports, describes the incident: "While driving the group to a hotel, an altercation occurred between one of the passengers and the driver of the limousine. In the course of the altercation, a man struck the limousine driver on the back of the head several times. The driver stopped the limousine, exited the vehicle and called police. The man who struck him left the scene before police arrived."
Bieber voluntarily handed himself in to the authorities and was charged with one count of assault. He is due to appear in court in March. However, the limousine company, speaking to the Toronto Sun, claim Bieber's entourage was responsible for the incident and that, such situations are common, but this particular one has been blown out of proportion owing to Bieber's celebrity status.
Meanwhile, in the US, Bieber's toxicology test results have come back from his arrest in Miami. The results confirm, as police suspected, that the 19-year-old had used marijuana and taken prescription pills when he was arrested for drag racing.
